Rebuilding Green: Alternative Energy

Strathewen & St Andrews Sustainable Rebuilding Project invites you to attend one or all of a series of workshops for 2012, designed to assist owner builders and renovators to make their homes as energy efficient as possible.

 

Workshop #4 Alternative Energy: wind & micro-hydro power

 

Topics covered:

  • What should you consider before choosing an alternative energy system for your home?
  • What are the essential requirements for your property to be suitable for wind power?
  • What are the pros and cons of wind and micro-hydro power?
  • Are there rebates or incentives available

Presenter: Craig Memery from the Alternative Technology Association

 

This will be an interactive workshop with discussions about all manner of ways you can increase sustainability in your home. All workshops will be practical in focus, with the aim to show you a range of options for your home so you are better informed to make choices that match your solution. Information sheets will be provided with further resources for attendees.
